2007 is the centenary of the birth of sculptor Seamus Murphy. The following events to celebrate his life and works are planned:

Pádraig Trehy is starting work on his documentary Seamus Murphy: Words into Stone, a biographical and critical portrait of the artist on the occasion of his centenary.
